Still Spirits Z Carbon Universal Carbon is a high-grade activated carbon designed for spirit filtration.

• It comes as loose granules (not a cartridge) and is used in the Still Spirits Z Carbon Filter System or other compatible carbon filter setups.

• “Universal” means it’s suitable for use in all Z Filter units, regardless of which cartridge version you have.

• Activated carbon works by adsorbing impurities, off-flavours, and unwanted aromas from distilled spirits, leaving a cleaner, smoother result.

• The Z Carbon is pre-treated to maximise absorption capacity and is usually packed into the filter housing between pads or screens.

It’s mainly used by home distillers after distillation, to polish neutral spirits like vodka before flavouring or bottling.
