Pure Distillling Reflux Condenser OUTPUT COOLER

$95.00

Default Title

A cooling output condenser in spirit making (often called a product condenser or after-condenser) is fitted after the main reflux or liebig condenser. Its role is to further cool the distillate before it exits the still.

The main benefits are:

  1. Safety – The vapour is fully condensed before leaving the still, reducing the risk of alcohol vapour escaping (which is highly flammable).

  2. Cooler Product Output – Brings the spirit down to a safe and manageable temperature for collection, testing, and storage (often around room temperature). Without it, distillate might come out hot, which is inconvenient and can give inaccurate hydrometer/alcoholmeter readings.

  3. Improved Measurement Accuracy – Alcohol meters and hydrometers are calibrated to specific temperatures (usually 20 °C). A cooling output condenser makes sure the spirit is closer to that temperature, so readings of ABV are much more accurate.

  4. Better Handling – Cool spirit is easier to store immediately in glass or plastic containers without risk of melting seals, softening plastics, or cracking glass from heat stress.

  5. Extra Safety Net – If the main condenser is not 100% efficient, the output condenser ensures no vapour slips through.

👉 In short: it improves safety, accuracy, and convenience when collecting and measuring your distilled spirit.

Designed and manufactured by the production team at Pure Distilling in Tasmania, it replaces the standard output arm.

This pure Distilling output cooling condenser comes with 2 x hose connectors
