$4.50

Dextrose Monohydrate is another name for naturally occurring glucose. It is the fermentation sugar first utilized by yeast at the outset of fermentation, so by the end of fermentation it is rarely present in beer above sensory threshold.

Ideal for increasing attenuation in your beers such as Double IPAs for a dryer finish. Perfect as the base for seltzers.

Containing not less than 99.5% glucose which is a simple sugar that completely ferments out. Suitable for all beer styles.
Commonly mixed with dried malt along with malto dextrin to make 'Brewing Enhancers'.

Dextrose is made from starch, most commonly corn (maize) . Starch is extracted from the grain. Enymes are added to break down the starch to glucose, which is then purified.

The end product is Dextrose = pure glucose. which is 100% fermentable.

Here’s the simple breakdown:

  • Source: Corn starch (sometimes wheat, rice, or potato starch, but corn is by far the most common.
