BIAB grain bags (short for Brew In A Bag grain bags) are large, fine mesh bags used by homebrewers for an all-grain brewing method known as Brew In A Bag (BIAB). This method simplifies the brewing process by allowing you to mash your grains directly in your main kettle using a single vessel—no mash tun or lauter tun needed.

How They're Used:

Place the bag in your kettle, securing it around the top.

Add crushed grains to the bag.

Pour hot water over the grains as per mash temp instructions (this is the mash).

Steep the grains for 60–90 minutes at a set temperature.

Lift the bag out, allowing the wort (sugar-rich liquid) to drain back into the kettle.

Proceed to the boil phase of brewing.
