Please note: It is illegal in Australia to fit these condensors to a pot/boiler larger than 5 litres capacity.

It is also illegal to distill alcohol without  a licence.

If you purchase a distillation column and a boiler larger than 5 litre capacity  from us it is on the understanding that these items are unrelated and will not be connected to form a working still.

CLEANING YOUR COPPER EQUIPMENT AND COLUMN FILLING:

Because copper oxidises quickly attention to cleaning is required

To wash your saddles: Remove them (both ceramic and copper, but keep them separate for ease of reassembly).

Clean copper by submerging it for 30 minutes in a solution of 1 Tablespoon of citric acid and 1 gallon of warm water. Then, rinse the copper parts with clean water and let it soak for about 12 hours in a bucket of 1 gallon of water to which 1 teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda (baking soda) has been added. This will neutralize any citric acid left over. Finally rinse again with clean water.
