How often can you use PET bottles?

You can usually reuse PET bottles 3–5 times for home brewing. Retire them sooner if you see:

• Scratches (hard to sanitise)

• Weak seals/caps (flat beer)

• Soft bottles (not holding pressure)

• Cloudiness or colour change

Wash gently, sanitise with no-rinse solution, and store out of sunlight to extend life.

👉 Many brewers rotate PET for a few uses, then replace with fresh ones.
