Cashmere is an American dual-purpose hop valued for its smooth bitterness and refreshing combination of citrus, melon and subtle tropical fruit flavours.

Developed by Washington State University and released in 2013, Cashmere is descended from Cascade, with Northern Brewer in its parentage.

This new variety has already won the hearts of many brewers in the US and the limited stock now available  here is quickly being turned into beer across Australia.

This hop stands well alone or with some background support from more subtle hops allowing its own complexity to shine.

Cashmere is particularly suitable for:

• American Pale Ale: Soft citrus and melon flavours without overwhelming bitterness.

• New England IPA (NEIPA): Works well with juicy tropical hop varieties.
