Gladfield Gladiator Dextrine Malt has the following colour specification:

• EBC Colour Range: 5–8 EBC

What this means

At around 8 EBC, Gladiator is a very light dextrine malt. It is designed to:

• Increase foam retention
• Add body and mouthfeel
• Improve head stability
• Increase the level of unfermentable dextrins
• Contribute very little colour to the finished beer.

Typical usage

• 2–5% of the grist: subtle improvement in body and head retention.
• 5–10%: noticeable increase in mouthfeel, especially in lagers, pilsners and pale ales.
• Maximum recommended: 15% of the grist.

Alternative is Briess Dextrine malt, /Weyermann German  Dextrine or Australian Dextrine malt
