Standard Absinthe....$5.95
or Absinthe
Black label PRO...$6.20
Make your own absinthe
with the same ingredients as supplied to the liquor industry. Mix essence,
sugar, and vodka (or any neutral spirits) to create a natural absinthe.
Instructions: Pour
20 ml (0.7 fl.oz) of absinthe essence and 75 grams (2.6 oz.) of granulated
sugar into a 750 ml (US 25 fl. oz.) bottle. Fill 3/4 full with neutral
spirits or vodka--40-70% (80-140 proof) of your choice--and shake the
bottle until the sugar has dissolved. Top up the bottle and shake until
the contents have fully blended.You
can even change the flavor by adding more or less essence, sugar, and
different strengths of alcohol.
Absinthe essence
is made from 22 different herbs and spices. Of those, the most well
known are star aniseed and Wormwood. We at Gert Strand AB are producing
the essence from herbs and spices, and it is exactly the same essence
that we sell to distilleries.
Absinthe tastes so good that it was removed from the French wine industry.
Using lobbying and dirty tricks, they managed to get absinthe banned in
most countries throughout the world. This is why absinthe is very rare
today.
The wine industry claimed that one went insane from the thujone in the
absinthe. There is thujone in our essence, but no more than in Wormwood
Vodka, Jagermeister and similar liquors. You do not go mad from drinking
absinthe.
