1.9kg beer pack produced from a decoction mash of Weyermann German Pilsner Malt and Weyermann Carafoam®, Hop extract and supplied with 'Fermentis' Saflager S-23 German strain brewing yeast.

Note: While only beer physically brewed in Bavaria can claim to be Bavarian Beer, and rightfully so, this product is made from natural brewing ingredients including fully imported German malt and German strain brewing yeast to make a product which we hope compliments the quality of Bavarian Pilsner.

This bottom fermenting yeast originated from the VLB (Berling) in Germany. The strain is used by Western European commercial breweries and has been reported to produce lagers and Pilsners with fruity and estery notes. This yeast is supplied with the above German malt beer packs to aid in the production of genuine German beer styles.

Higher brewing temperatures are tolerated however optimum brewing results are obtained if fermentation is between 9-15C.

Closed fermentation brewing (under airlock) only is recommended.
